On Wednesday 6th May 2020, Sharjah International Foundation for the History of Arab and Muslim Sciences (SIFHAMS) signed academic cooperation agreement with the King Abdulaziz University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Besides general academic cooperation, both institutions agreed to collaborate on the two main topics: 1) to jointly organize the upcoming sessions of SIFHAMS International Graduate Winter School in 2021 and beyond; and 2) King Abdulaziz University to become an official partner of SIFHAMS 4th International Conference on the History of Arab and Muslim Sciences planned to take place either at the end of 2020 or beginning of 2021. The representative unit at the King Abdulaziz University would be the office of the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and its Vice President Professor Dr. Yusuf Abdulaziz Al-Turki.
A week later, on Tuesday 12th May 2020, SIFHAMS signed another academic cooperation agreement with the Institute of Physics, University of Cologne, Germany. This was a specific agreement where both institutions decided to cooperate and become a partner of the above mentioned SIFHAMS 4th International Conference on the History of Arab and Muslim Sciences, whereby the Institute of Physics represented by its Director Professor Dr. Andreas Eckart will be responsible to disseminate the "call for papers" in various academic institutions in European countries.
