On the 8th April 2022, Director of Sharjah International Foundation for the History of Arab and Muslim Sciences (SIFHAMS) Prof. Mesut Idriz was conferred "Indian Award for Academic Excellence" by Prof. K. Mohammed Basheer, Former Vice Chancellor of Calicut University, Kerala, India, and Chairman of Award Committe, Indian Academy of Excellence, for his contribution to the History of Arab and Muslim Sciences as well as introducing "International Graduate Winter School" to the academic institutions in India.
