Under the title: “Cosmology - the Impact of Arab Astronomers on Copernicus”, the Sharjah International Foundation for the History of Arab and Muslim Sciences (SIFHAMS) at UoS, in collaboration with the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology (SAASST), organized the 4th Scholar Talk, presented by Prof. Mashhad Al-Allaf, a Professor of History and Philosophy of Science. He highlighted the Renaissance era in Europe, discussed the ways in which the theories of Arab astronomers were transmitted to Copernicus, and presented the Arabic manuscripts that were translated into Latin.
